This technology is said to get even the most difficult hairs on a man’s face. With a handle that’s comfortable to hold, a cleaning system to keep blades like new and a rechargeable lithium ion battery that makes traveling a breeze, it’s no wonder why this is one of the most sought after electric shaver on the market.

Philips Norelco 1250xcc/42 Review
This Norelco 1250xcc really does get a close shave and causes less irritation than other electric shavers on the market. I really like the fact that there were indicator lights for everything, so you always know what’s needed for the unit so irritation from dull blades and a dirty unit never occurs because the 1250xcc lets you know when it’s necessary. The skin on my face is a lot less irritated, probably due to the fact that the shaving heads are larger; covering a wider area without the need for multiple strokes.
Although the Norelco 1250xcc is advertised as getting a smooth shave in one pass this is slightly misleading. The 1250xcc did get the bulk of the hair on the first pass; I still needed to go over a little more to remove the difficult and coarse stubble left on my face — especially around my neck and jaw line.
I wouldn’t recommend this unit for individuals with small bathroom counters. The cleaning station and charger are separate and this tends to take up a good bit of space on the bathroom counter. On the plus side, the charger and cleaning unit that comes with the 1250xcc shaver looks nice. One of the biggest downfalls to the Philips Norelco 1250xc electric shaver is the fact that the battery isn’t replaceable. Once the battery dies and no longer holds a charge, you’ll have to toss the old one and prepare to replace it. This is really inconvenient considering the price of a new electric shaver; replacing a battery is more affordable. The instruction manual has a small section dedicated to battery care of the shaver; stating that the shaver itself shouldn’t be left on charge for more than an hour. I would imagine that has something to do with diminishing the battery life and following instructions may keep it lasting a while longer, but is a little frustrating to remember.
The Philips Norelco 1250xcc does get one of the closest shaves on the market for an electric shaver, but word to the wise you may want to take extra care of the battery. Once the battery needs to be replaced, you’ll need to buy a whole new unit and that can be extremely pricy if it occurs unexpectedly.
